Governance and Administration in Möser: Activities and Decisions in April 2026
In April 2026, the municipality of Möser was highly active in terms of governance and administration. Numerous local council meetings, municipal decisions, and administrative changes were made to improve infrastructure, transparency, and collaboration with citizens. Below, we take a detailed look at the most important developments.
Local Council Meetings: Structure and Transparency
April 2026 brought several local council meetings in the various districts of Möser. The meetings of the Local Council of Lostau took place on April 21 at 7:00 PM at the community center in Lostau. Agenda items included the approval of the minutes, general decisions on lease and rental prices, and the modernization of the community center. The citizen question hour also provided direct participation of residents in political discussions.
Meetings also took place in Hohenwarthe and Schermen. In Hohenwarthe, discussions on youth and children's work and obligations for volunteer members were the focus. In Schermen, a meeting was held on April 13, which addressed both public and non-public agenda items.
The meeting documents and agendas are accessible via the digital system "Sitzungsdienst Session," significantly increasing transparency and accessibility for citizens.
Lease and Rental Price Regulations: Unanimous Decision
A central topic in administration was the adjustment of lease and rental prices for municipal land. The municipal council of Möser unanimously decided to regulate lease and rental prices in accordance with the lease price overview of the state of Saxony-Anhalt (LSA). This regulation will apply from January 1, 2027, or at the latest after the expiry of three lease years.
The new prices take into account the prevailing local market values and will allow for an adjustment of the lease rate every three years, provided the local price has changed by more than 10%. This regulation does not apply to associations or areas with photovoltaic systems, clothing recycling bins, or parcel stations.
The decision was made on February 19, 2026, and confirmed by Mayor M. Simon and Deputy Mayor Andrea Grams. It underlines the municipality's commitment to ensuring market fairness and long-term planning security for tenants and lessees.
Modernization of the Community Center and Seating Project
Another important project in April 2026 was the modernization of the community center in Lostau. The municipality decided to implement the project using subsidies amounting to 80% of the eligible expenses. The remaining share will be financed from the municipal special fund. The costs are estimated at around €100,000, and the project is planned for the fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
Additionally, the installation of benches and rest areas along cycle paths, public footpaths, and tourist facilities was decided. A budget of approximately €26,000 is planned for this project in the 2026 and 2027 budgets. It is supported by the Local Action Group (LAG) "Between Elbe and Fiener Bruch" and aims to enhance local recreation and enthusiasm for village life.
Communication and Administrative Structures
The communication channels between the administration and citizens are clearly structured. The opening hours of the municipal administration are set for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with varying service hours. For inquiries and appointment requests, Gabriele Holz is available by phone at 039222/908-12 or by email (sitzungsdienst@gemeinde-moeser.de). The municipality's bank details are also publicly accessible and used for payments and transparency purposes.
Outlook and Significance
The decisions and measures of April 2026 show that the municipality of Möser is actively working on the modernization of its administration and infrastructure. Transparency through digital documentation, the inclusion of citizens in decision-making processes, and the use of subsidies for investments are key points that should be further developed in the coming months. Moreover, it should be noted that the voting results in the committees were clear and unanimous—indicating broad acceptance of the projects.
