Möser's Municipal Financial Planning in April 2026

In April 2026, the municipality of Möser is setting important milestones in its municipal financial planning – from infrastructure investments to the digitalization of administration. An overview of the budget planning, funding, and investment decisions.

Municipal Financial Planning in Möser: Investments, Funding, and Digitalization

The financial planning of the municipality of Möser in April 2026 reflects a structured and forward-looking approach to limited resources. Numerous investment projects, a wide range of funding sources, and the digitalization of the administration define the focus of the month. At the same time, the financial situation is analyzed with regard to loan acquisitions and incoming payments.

Investment Projects and Funding Distribution

The municipality of Möser has received a total of 3.05 million euros from the federal special fund "Infrastructure." The funds are distributed across three areas: 48 % are allocated to local-specific measures, 32 % to community projects, and 20 % to reserves.

In the area of local-specific measures, a total of 1.45 million euros are planned. Each local community receives a base amount of 60,000 euros, with the remaining funds distributed according to population size. Examples of investments include the renovation of the Möser elementary school’s outdoor facilities with 600,000 euros, the construction of a new fire station building with 1.6 million euros, and road and bridge renovations with 300,000 euros.

In the area of community measures, the preparation of a central location for disaster protection, fire department, and maintenance yard, as well as brownfield remediation, is planned with 30,000 euros.

Digitalization and Funding

Another focus in April 2026 is the digitalization of the administration. The municipality has, for example, received funds from the infrastructure special fund for the introduction of a digital application portal and the ELO ECM Suite as document management software. This project is allocated 64,500 euros and includes costs for audio and camera equipment, mobile technology, WLAN expansion, iPads, and screens for hybrid meetings.

In addition, digital council work in the municipal council and local councils has been enabled. The funding is provided through the infrastructure fund.

Budget Planning and Loan Acquisitions

Since the beginning of 2026, the municipality of Möser has been in provisional financial management. The cash credit limit is 3.16 million euros, with the current usage at 94,844 euros. The interest rate for the cash credit is 2.413 %.

The municipality has also planned loan acquisitions in 2025 with a total of 1.536 million euros. Loans will be approved up to the 2027 budget resolution. Currently, it is recommended not to take on new loans, as this would burden the 2026 budget by at least 35,000 euros. The cash credit would burden the budget by approximately 25,358 euros.

Financial Security for Investment Projects

In April 2026, several financial guarantees for investment projects were decided:

  • Energy-efficient renovation of the Schermen Sports Home: 583,000 euros planned, of which 465,000 euros from EU and state funds and 119,000 euros from federal funds.
  • Renovation of stables in Lostau: 271,500 euros, of which 241,500 euros from EU and state funds and 30,000 euros from federal funds.
  • Renovation of the youth club into a community center: 350,000 euros, of which 262,300 euros from EU and state funds and 87,700 euros from federal funds.

All projects were unanimously approved by the municipal council and serve the long-term stabilization of the municipal infrastructure.

Outlook and Challenges

The financial planning of the municipality of Möser in April 2026 shows a clear prioritization: investments in infrastructure, digitalization, and long-term financial security. At the same time, budget consolidation remains a central issue, especially with regard to loan acquisitions and incoming payments from regular administrative activities.

The next municipal council meetings in April 2026 (on April 7 and 28) will be decisive in further detailing the approved projects and making any necessary adjustments. The municipality is on a course that takes into account both current needs and long-term security.
