Planning and Technical Challenges

The height difference between the cycle and pedestrian path (3 cm) was also criticized as potentially fall-hazardous. The recommendation was to install a tactile and visually contrasting boundary strip.
Another point of criticism concerned the crossing over the Rupprechtstraße. Due to elevation differences and embankments, restricted visibility was criticized. The police inspection recommended adjusting the cycle path so that better visibility is ensured for all road users.
The width of the bridge over the ST2082 was also considered insufficient. A combined cycle and pedestrian path for both directions was deemed necessary. In addition, it was proposed to involve a specialist planner for cycling to further optimize the planning.
Promotion and Funding
The measure is supported within the framework of the Bavarian Municipal Traffic Financing Act (BayGVFG). The total costs of the construction measure amount to 420,000 euros, of which 390,000 euros are eligible for funding. The Government of Upper Bavaria has approved a funding of up to 285,000 euros, which corresponds to a funding rate of 73%.
The financing of the remaining project costs is carried out from municipal funds. However, the funding is subject to certain conditions. The start of construction must take place in 2026, otherwise the approval for funding will lose its validity. In addition, a simplified usage report according to RZStra is required to claim the funding.
