Digital Transformation and Construction Projects in Möser in February 2026

Digital Transformation and Construction Projects in Möser in February 2026

In February 2026, the municipality of Möser focused intensively on two central topics of urban development: the digitalization of administration and the construction of a new fire station. Both projects are of central importance for the future viability of the municipality.

Digitalization of the Municipal Administration as a Central Priority

In February 2026, the municipality of Möser decided to advance the digitalization of its administration, relying on external funding. The goal is so-called "full digitalization," which includes the introduction of a document management system (DMS), digital form processing, and protocol software. These measures are part of the municipality’s digitalization report and are to be implemented by the end of 2026.

Möser is relying on the state program "Funding of Digitalization Projects from the Special Infrastructure Fund" of Saxony-Anhalt. The program fully funds projects up to 200,000 EUR, allowing the municipality to avoid the use of its own funds. Since the application deadline ends on March 31, 2026, a rapid application is crucial. The administration is tasked with drafting and submitting the funding application. This illustrates how closely digital transformation is linked to financial planning.

Construction of a New Fire Station in Hohenwarthe

Another central topic was the planning of a new fire station in Hohenwarthe. The existing building, dating from the 1980s, no longer meets current safety and fire protection requirements. Due to legal restrictions on construction, an expansion of the existing site on Möserstraße was not possible. Therefore, a new location near the sports field in Hohenwarthe was selected.

The municipal council passed a preliminary decision for the project and tasked the administration with submitting a pre-application according to § 74 BauO LSA. This must comprehensively address natural conservation, forestry, and traffic law aspects. In addition, a site monitoring process is required to consider non-municipal plots as well. Parallel to this, a project application for funding from the state of Saxony-Anhalt is being prepared to ensure the financial implementation of the project.

Implementation of Renovation Measures at the Primary School

In addition to digitalization and fire station construction, there were also advances in renovation work at Möser Primary School. The municipal council commissioned the mayor to award the contract for the third construction phase of the outdoor area renovation. This phase includes paving the parking lot and access road, as well as the construction of a publicly accessible bicycle rack. The funding comes from the Infrastructure Fund in the amount of 150,000 EUR. This step is part of a larger project in which the municipality is using a total of over 3.06 million EUR in funding from the Infrastructure Special Fund.

Outlook on the Future of Municipal Development

The decisions made in February 2026 show that the municipality of Möser is actively addressing the challenges of the future. With the digitalization of administration and investments in structural infrastructure, it is laying the foundation for a modern, livable, and safer community. The use of state funding is a key lever to implement these projects without financial burden on the municipality. In the coming months, the focus will be on successfully securing the requested funding and moving the planning into concrete implementation.
