Niefern-Öschelbronn: March 2026 in Focus – Construction, Noise and New Spaces
In March 2026, the municipality of Niefern-Öschelbronn set important priorities in the areas of urban planning, noise protection, and daycare centers. Here is the monthly review.
Unanimous Decisions – March in Figures
What was important this month:
- Unanimous approval for a wooden garden house in Öschelbronn.
- Two donations for the school and youth center.
- New speed restrictions in the noise action plan.
- Free awarding of construction work worth over one million euros.
- Development plan for the residential area Bitscher established.
Urban Planning and Construction Projects in Focus
The March municipal council meeting primarily focused on urban planning and construction projects. The council unanimously approved the release under §31 BauGB for the construction of a wooden garden house with a 72 m³ volume at Kreuzstraße 13 in Öschelbronn. Notably, an existing garden house may be reused, which is resource-friendly and environmentally sound.
In addition, the development plan for the infrastructure of the residential area Bitscher (parking area) was unanimously adopted. This project marks a step toward improved traffic management and local development within the municipality.
Noise Protection: New Speed Restrictions
Within the framework of the Noise Action Plan Stage 4, the municipal council passed comprehensive measures for noise reduction. Unanimously, the council approved all-day speed limits of 30 km/h in several street sections and nighttime speed reductions. Furthermore, the use of noise-reducing road surfacings is planned to further improve the quality of life in the municipality.
A proposal by GR Beljanski to extend the 30 km/h speed limit from one municipal sign to the next was rejected with 6 yes votes, 10 no votes, and 4 abstentions. In contrast, the administration's proposal was unanimously accepted, demonstrating that the municipal council acts in unison on noise protection-related issues.
Investments in Education and Youth
Two donations for educational institutions were unanimously accepted. Volksbank pur donated 400 euros for a raised bed at the Niefern elementary school, and Sparkasse Pforzheim Calw provided 500 euros for the youth center. These funds help strengthen local educational and leisure facilities and provide more space for creative and social activities for children and youth in the municipality.
Construction Work and Free Awarding
In March, several construction contracts were unanimously approved, including the pipeline rehabilitation in closed construction by Kanal Türpe Gerolzhofen GmbH (678,409.48 euros), the delivery of wooden windows and doors by Glaserei Sand und Co. GmbH (193,974.76 euros), and the interior doors and glazing in the new Kindertagesstätte Löwenzahn by Schreinerwerkstatt Friedmar Pfefferle (770,957.33 euros).
Additionally, the cancellation of the tender for Lot 14 of Kita-Löwenzahn was unanimously approved, followed by the direct awarding to the same carpentry company. These decisions emphasize the high level of transparency and planning security in municipal construction.
Insight into Administration and Legal Foundations
All decisions in March 2026 were based on secure legal foundations such as §31 BauGB, §47d BImSchG, and VOB (A) §17 (1). The documentation of the meeting is available under the number 3/2026 online at niefern-oeschelbronn.ratsinfomanagement.net, ensuring that citizens are always transparently informed.
Overview and Outlook
March 2026 was a decisive month in Niefern-Öschelbronn in the areas of construction, noise protection, and youth support. The unanimous decisions show that the municipality can work well together on key issues such as traffic safety and investments in education. The direct awarding of contracts and the development of residential areas are also milestones on the path to sustainable and livable municipal development.
In April, the focus will be on the implementation of the approved measures and potential new projects in the areas of energy and climate protection. Citizens can rely on ongoing transparency and opportunities for participation.
