Governance and Administration in Bollschweil: Transparency, Participation, and Investments in March 2026
In March 2026, Bollschweil focused on key topics in governance and administration. From enhancing municipal transparency and investing in energy efficiency to strengthening citizen participation, the municipal council set clear priorities.
Governance and Administration in Bollschweil: How Politics and Administration Acted in March 2026
The tasks of local governance and administration are diverse and shape the daily lives of citizens. In March 2026, the municipal council of Bollschweil made several important decisions aimed at strengthening the administrative process and increasing public participation. At the same time, investments in infrastructure and energy efficiency were approved, ensuring the long-term viability of the municipality.
Transparency through Digital Platforms
In March 2026, the municipality of Bollschweil actively promoted greater transparency in administration. The establishment of a Municipal Information and Research System marks a key milestone. Citizens can now access meeting documents, minutes, and agendas at https://bollschweil.ratsinfomanagement.net/. This platform serves not only to enhance citizen participation but also as a communication tool between politics, administration, and the public.
During the meeting on March 11, 2026, the online platform fahrmob.eco was also introduced. As part of the "Allianz für Beteiligung" (Alliance for Participation) project, it is to be integrated into the southern Breisgau region. A grant of 6,000 euros from the "Beteiligungstaler" will cover the costs for usage and advertising. The goal is to position the municipality as a pioneer in digital participation.
Investments in Energy Efficiency and Fire Department Facilities
Another key topic was the Renewable Energy Strategy of the municipality. The municipal council commissioned the company Ritter Elektrotechnik GmbH to develop an Energy Concept for Photovoltaic Systems on municipal rooftops. The contract amount is 5,105.10 € (gross), and the concept is to be created in a product-neutral and non-discriminatory manner to allow for future tenders. After the concept is submitted, the administration will propose further steps.
In addition to energy planning, the purchase of a backup power unit for the voluntary fire department of Bollschweil was also decided. The unit will be implemented by the company NP Real Estate GmbH at a cost of 40,452.31 €. Of this, 30,000 € will be funded by a grant, and the municipal share is 10,452.31 €. The purchase was approved with 11 yes votes and one abstention and is part of the fire department's outdoor equipment at the fire station.
Citizen Participation through a Town Hall Meeting
To further strengthen public participation, the municipal council decided to hold a town hall meeting on March 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Möhlinhalle. According to § 20 a of the Municipal Code, such meetings serve to discuss important municipal matters with the residents. Proposed topics include the current status of the renovation of Kreisstraße K 4956 and the current status of the "Sorgende Gemeinschaft" initiative. Participation in the meeting may be limited to residents, and it will be chaired by the mayor or a representative appointed by the mayor.
Summary: Governance as a Driver for Transparency and Future Readiness
The decisions of the municipal council in March 2026 show how governance and administration in Bollschweil actively shape the future of the municipality. By investing in energy efficiency, digital transparency, and enhancing citizen participation, Bollschweil is setting impulses that go beyond the mere administrative framework. These measures not only contribute to the stability of local structures but also to long-term acceptance and trust among the population.
In the coming months, it will be particularly interesting to observe how the energy concepts are implemented and what role digital citizen participation plays in the region. Bollschweil demonstrates that governance is not only administration, but also requires vision and the ability to act.
